Welcome Friends and New Faces to Star Touring and Riding Chapter 230!

If you are looking to make new friends who love motorcycles, go interesting places, ride in an organized and courteous manner, and take safety and skill improvement seriously, you have found the right place.  Our Chapter was formed in 2002 and has been actively riding and building friendships ever since.

As a Chapter of STAR Touring and Riding, we subscribe to their mission statement (www.startouring.org).  We are aware that Southern California riding presents some challenges with freeways and traffic so we always keep safety first, while maintaining a fun and enjoyable ride together.

Normally, we ride the first Saturday of every month; unless it’s a holiday or there is inclement weather.  Under these circumstances we may move the ride to the following weekend.  We meet at Mission Motorsports (MissionMotorsports.com) at 1 Doppler, Irvine.  We begin with a meeting at 8 am followed by our monthly chapter ride.  Charity is of course a tenant of our values so we raise money to support the chapter and our chosen charities through donations and raffles.

In addition to our rides and meetings, we have Bike Nights once a month at various locations and times. The locations of our Bike Nights are posted on our chapter Facebook page (Star Touring OrangeCounty), on the Chapter Website Event Calendar, and via email. We also have several overnight and weekend rides, a holiday party, and many more events during the year which can be found on the Event Calendar on our website, www.star230.com.

We welcome all riders, all ages, all abilities, and all bikes regardless of the make or model. If you are interested in learning more about us, please take a look at our website (www.star230.com) and our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Star230/).  For additional information, please feel free to contact me at the address below.

Like any group, our chapter is all about our people. These pages are dedicated to the heart and soul of our organization.

The pages are broken up in the following categories:

  • Our Chapter Officers - These members are the volunteers that run our organization; they plan the rides and oversee daily activities.
  • Our Ride Crew - These are the dedicated folks who make sure each ride is safe and fun for all.
  • Roll Call - Our current membership.

Riding with us for the first time this year - click on the document below to open and print the Ride Waiver. Fill it out and bring it with you.

If you are a new rider with us, please fill out the ride waiver above and bring it with you on your first ride. During your first few rides you will be assigned a Shepherd to help familiarize you with our hand signals and group positioning. Click here to view the new rider checklist which your Shepherd will use during your first few rides with us.
